SBI Ripple Asia, a collaborative initiative between Ripple Labs Inc. and SBI Holdings, is getting closer to launching the MoneyTap payment app. Developed using distributed ledger technology (DLT), the MoneyTap app aims to facilitate peer-to-peer (P2P) payments between mobile devices. In a September 25th announcement, SBI revealed it had "completed registration" to obtain a license for using the electronic payments app.
