Bitcoin Cash (BCH), the most dominant of over 40 Bitcoin forks to date, is 1 years old today. BCH was forked off the original Bitcoin (BTC) blockchain on August 1st, 2017, however, its larger block sizes may compromise the security of its network, experts note. A recent research report also indicates that the BCH network may be susceptible to transaction malleability. In terms of adoption, there are reportedly only 716 merchants who accept BCH, compared to well over 100,000 that accept BTC.
