Ripple Labs Inc. is reportedly looking to target the Chinese markets, as its EU executive Jeremy Light recently stated that "China is definitely of interest, it is definitely a target." At present, Ripple only has 1 client in China, however, there seems to be a lot of potential for new financial technology in the country, considering that Ant Financial's Alipay and Tencent's WeChat payment apps are widely used by China's residents.
