Ticketmaster, a California-based multinational ticketing technology firm, has reportedly acquired blockchain startup, Upgraded. The acquisition was made in order to use Upgraded's blockchain-based software to determine whether tickets issued a genuine. Ticketmaster has bought Upgraded at a time when there have been accusations against the company for hiring "pro scalpers" to conduct ticket sales.
