Group-IB, a global security firm, has revealed that rypto-related security breaches have increased by 369% between 2016 and 2017. “Disregard for basic security rules such as the use of complex and unique passwords” has led to many crypto users’ funds being stolen, the Group-IB report concluded. Users and even exchanges were found not to use basic security measures such as two-factor authentication. “No crypto exchange can guarantee security”, the report noted.
