Minimum in search of 'Bitcoin'

Bitcoin (BTC) is the least popular among Google users since last year - if history repeats itself, BTC/USD will get $10,000 back.

According to Google Trends, global interest in the term "Bitcoin" is currently the lowest since December 2019.

Over the past seven months, price volatility has provided Bitcoin with sporadic tides of curiosity, but these have simply broken the general downward trend.

As of July 20, interest was strong on the multi-month falls on Google's standardized scale from 1 to 100 - out of 45, "Bitcoin" challenged its reading of 41 from the week of December 29.

What happened after the previous level is visible. After dropping by about $7,200 in the new year, BTC/USD began to grow rapidly to over $10,300.

This jump in prices caused a modest increase in search interest to 62, but it was the coronavirus pandemic that created an event that stood out among Google search engines. Halving the May block subsidy by half has had similar effects.
