Healthcare Blockchain System in UAE

The Ministry of Health and Prevention of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has put in place a block system to record and exchange healthcare data.

The official press agency of the United Arab Emirates reported on the development of the situation on 18 September, noting that the system aims to improve data integrity.

According to the report, the platform will "record and share information on the assessment of health professionals, including doctors, pharmacists and technicians, with local health licensing authorities".

Officially clarified, tamper-resistant data will enable healthcare providers to "access reliable information and make informed decisions, automate electronic workflows, improve customer and employee experience, and increase operational efficiency.

MoHAP is also working to develop eHealth services and plans to integrate digital technologies and improve the quality, safety and efficiency of healthcare using large data, predictive models and blockchain technologies.
