Cash quarantine in China related to the coronavirus

It was reported that China began quarantining its used banknotes in order to try and stop the spread of coronavirus. In the meantime, the crypto community began to receive messages, commenting that the use of Bitcoin as a means of payment should solve this problem.

The province of Hubei, where Wuhan is located, has seen a dramatic increase in nearly 15,000 new cases and 242 new deaths in just 24 hours after the provincial authorities changed their method of diagnosing cases on 13 February. Dovey Wan, the founding partner of the Primitive Kryptonian, said earlier on Twitter that the government was not reporting these figures.

The latest BBC report reported 2,009 new cases and 142 more deaths. According to official data, the total number of infected people in the country is over 68,000 and the number of deaths is 1,665.

The alleged closure of Chinese crypto plants seems to have had little or no impact on the Bitcoin (BTC) hash rate. The network seems to operate more strongly than ever and the hash rate continues to increase.

While the crypto community is speculating about the twitter, whether Bitcoin could have been a response to the spread of the virus through banknotes, according to Reddit, the coronation coffin ERC-20 (NCOV) based on the coronavirus was launched. According to the website, it aims to spread knowledge about the outbreak.
