The Italian Association of Authors and Publishers (SIAE) has joined forces with Algorandem to create a new copyright management ecosystem based on the recently launched Algorian blockchain platform.
SIAE has already started the project with the help of the University of "La Sapienza" in Rome and the consulting firm Blockchain Core. SIAE has now decided to focus on the Algorand platform because of its public character and high performance.
Algorand uses a pure Proof-of-Stake (PoS) protocol that guarantees decentralization, scalability and security, making it particularly suitable for handling metadata hives and transactions necessary for copyright management. Both Algorand and SIAE are convinced that in the near future blockchain technology will become a cornerstone of the industry.
This cooperation will enable the development and strengthening of tools and services related to copyright management, ultimately creating new, more open and accessible products, which will further improve the efficiency of intermediation activities.
