Bitcoin with new record

On December 4, December 8.9 billion dollars in Bitcoin (BTC) were moved to blockchain in one hour, excluding the volume of change, which is Bitcoin, which returns to the sender.

The high volume of Bitcoin's transaction was indicated by Rafael Schultze-Kraft, co-founder of Glassnode, an on-chain market research company.

Schultze-Kraft apparently soon began working to find out who or what caused this remarkable leap. Earlier today, on December 5, Glassnode posted on Twitter, claiming that the jump was caused by a cryptocurrency exchange of Bittrex, which repeatedly carried a large amount of Bitcoin.

According to the tweet, the exchange carried out 21 transactions in one hour, each of which transferred about 56,000 BTC (almost $416 million) for a fee of about $0.60. The tweet also contained a link to the data of the first transaction.

While nowadays it is still not clear why the transactions took place, some speculate that the reason may be that the funds in the cold portfolios of the stock exchange have been transferred.
