Stellar Development Foundation signed an agreement with the Ukrainian government to facilitate the creation of a digital ecosystem of assets, including the framework for the central bank's digital currency, the CBDC.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Digital Transformation announced on Monday that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Stellar Development Foundation. The Memorandum of Understanding defines Ukraine's strategy for the development of digital assets and infrastructure of the CBDC. It includes support for projects specializing in digital assets, implementation and regulation of circulation of stable coins and promotion of CBDC development.
When asked about Ukraine's potential for blockchain development in Europe and the world, Bornyakov said that his ministry integrates best practices from Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Malta, Liechtenstein and the United States.
There have been rumors that Ukraine is prepared to lead the Eastern European crypto race and that the Ministry of Digital Transformation is pushing for more transparent regulations on digital assets.
