South Korea focus on blockchain experts

The Korean Financial Services Committee and the Seoul Metropolitan Government announced plans to invest 16 million dollars in the training of digital finance experts for four years on 12th February. The application period for funding is 4-6 March.

 

The FSC explained that the demand for financial technology specialists is growing. The program aims to provide training opportunities for the next generation of financial technology specialists. 

 

The programme will start in the second half of 2020 and will run until 2023 in the financial centre in Yeouido district of the capital, Seoul.  It is open to employees of financial companies, founders of fintech companies and other job seekers in the sector. 

 

The Master's degree programme will employ 80 students per year, while the non-academic finance training programme will be open to 160 students with conditional financial support. 

 

The course content includes advanced theories and practical courses for intensive learning in areas related to digital finance, including large data, clouds and blockchain.
