Sanction For ICO Rating

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has charged the Russian analytical agency ICO Rating a fee of $268,998 for violation of anti-outing regulations.

In the announcement, the SEC found that the ICO Rating had violated the antiouting provisions of Section 17(b) of the 1933 Securities Act by not disclosing the payments it had received from coin-issuing issuers, which it had assessed and published on its platform.

Without admitting or denying SEC findings, the ICO Rating allegedly agreed to cease and refrain from committing any future violations of these provisions, paying forgiveness and $106,998 in advance notice interest and a civil penalty of $162,000.
