Black Manta Capital Partners, a Luxembourg-registered financial company, has been licensed by the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) to use the platform STO.
Black Manta Capital Partners announced on 19 August that its Berlin-based entity received a MiFID II licence from BaFin for a regulated STO platform on 1 August, nine months after the application was filed. Now the company will be able to offer regulated brokerage services using blockchain technology.
On its platform, the company represents the rights to assets as tokens managed by contracts in the chain. This system allegedly allows new access to capital for small and medium enterprises, real estate projects, startups, commodity markets or funds and new access to investment for new investors.
