Digital transactions in a Swiss bank

The Swiss Financial Market Authority, or FINMA, has authorised InCore to carry out transactions involving digital assets, allowing clients around the world to access and transact within the bank.

The official announcement is an important step in creating a blockchain-friendly environment across the EU banking sector. InCore is the first Swiss business-to-business bank approved for cryptography.

The company now allows institutional clients to trade, store and transfer digital assets. FINMA has also allowed the bank to develop its tokenisation capabilities.

The bank has already established cooperation with Inacta AG, an independent Swiss IT consulting company, to provide information and manage cryptographic assets.

A new client of InCore Bank with respect to digital assets transactions is Maerki Bauman & CO. The local media consider InCore Bank as one of the most qualified banks in the sector.

The management informed that the bank plans to expand its blockchain strategy in the coming months. The plans also include brokerage, custody and security token transfer services.
