Car turned into NFT

Dan Markham, creator of the seven-million-subscriber What's Inside YouTube channel, has traded in his Tesla Roadster for a single non-exchangeable token (NFT).

In a Sept. 15 video on his What's Inside Family channel, Markham traded in his blue Tesla Roadster - which he estimated could be worth "a quarter of a million dollars soon" - for a non-exchangeable token of a "positive porcupine." NFT was a VeeFriends project and owned by Eli Burton, author of the graphic novel The Adventures of Starman.

"Looking back on it a year from now, two years from now, three years from now, it could be an incredibly stupid decision, but it could also be a great decision," - Markham said. "I think these cars have had great value for a long time and I believe in NFT."

Burton said he originally planned to sell the digital art for more than $100,000 before he learned of Markham's offer. According to the graphic novelist, exchanging NFT for a car was "as simple as supply and demand," as 10,000 tokens were now available and each was valued at $60,000. VeeFriends lists 40 similar porcupines from various backgrounds.
