According to Brandon Mintz, CEO of the crypto Bitcoin Depot ATM network, the Blockchain community plays a significant role in the development of drugs to combat COVID-19, as Blockchain can bring enormous processing power to confirm transactions and generate new coins.
Mintz stressed that the biggest benefit of blockchain is the "security aspect of things", adding that such a welcome is also helpful for contactless payments and online shopping with crypto, as online sales continue to grow in strength.
President Bitcoin Depot commented on the use of the processing power to strengthen COVID-19 related research projects by allocating resources through block platforms.
Mintz explained that despite the fact that there will always be "some fragmentation" among the crypto community in the search for ways to help find a cure, "the vast majority of communities have really joined together to create new innovative ways to help combat the virus.
